Background

Due to the small cross section of the body assembly at the location of the nut it was impossible to replace the nut. Customer was using an M8 TAPTITE® with a sleeve as a repair kit.

Solution

An M6 TAPTITE 2000® on a forged shoulder bolt was used in place of a turned screw machine fastener.

Customer Benefit

Replacing the turned screw machine fastener with the M6 TAPTITE 2000® fastener on a forged shoulder bolt eliminated repair work and the labor cost associated with these repairs. The customer also experienced reduced fastener costs.
